My name is Hope Tucker. I am a senior at Florida State University studying psychology with a minor in education. I have been living in Tallahassee for the past few years meeting so many amazing friends and mentors. I was born and raised in south Florida. I love the research aspect of psychology and I always knew that was a field I was intrigued by. I am a first-generation college student, and I am attending Florida State because I have always dreamed of coming here and making my family proud.

As far as I remember in elementary school there was technology slowly being integrated into my classes. We got to use the computers for educational games as well as standardized testing. I always enjoyed technology in the classroom because it provides multiple outlets for learning. Between class presentations and interactive activities, I was fortunate enough to have access to these tools to power my education. In high school I was a part of the finance academy and they required us to get office certified as well as photoshop. I would say I am a tech savvy person, but I do have a lot to learn, and I am excited for this class.

Before I even knew what a PLN was, I was already doing this on a daily basis. My go to PLN's is more online access due to COVID. I use twitter and follow people that I consider mentors. I message my old teachers on Facebook when I have questions or just need some educational advice. I read books and use LinkedIn. I also follow mental health accounts on Instagram. This year me and my roommates are working on starting a study group at our apartment complex to promote studying and keep me on the right track for graduation.
